  • Assess the value of interventional techniques in a variety of clinical scenarios, including renal failure, portal hypertension, biliary obstruction, prostatic hypertrophy, uterine fibroid embolization, pulmonary embolism and deep venous thrombosis, and critical limb ischemia 
  • Explain the role of interventional options in relationship with medical and surgical treatments for an optimized multidisciplinary management of these diseases
  • Describe the most current techniques and approaches, including the use of novel devices and cutting-edge technologies
  • Categorize indications and contracindications of each interventional procedure
  • Analyze the most recent findings and evidence coming from clinical trials for interventional techniques as well as surgical and medical treatments
  • Discuss tips and tricks to improve outcomes and reduce the risk of complications, particularly in complex interventions.

  

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of interventional radiologists, oncologist, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, nurses, physician assistants, radiology technicians and others involved in the treatment of Cancer.

The American Medical Association (AMA) has an agreement of mutual recognition of CME credit with the UEMS.
